Boyce Studio on Comedy Bang! Bang!

In my work, I have to do a lot of sanding.  While sometimes sanding can be meditative, most of the time it's just boring. So, I listen to podcasts.  A lot of podcasts.  There are a ton of great ones out there, but one of my favorites is Comedy Bang! Bang! for 3 reasons: It's hilarious, it's long, and it's loud.  When the shop is loud, even with my bluetooth earbuds turned all the way up, Fresh Air just doesn't cut it. I also watch the TV show on IFC, and I always noticed that the set design featured air plants and succulents and thought that my planters would fit into the set nicely.  So I emailed the production designer Caity Birmingham my planters and hoped for the best.  She got back to me right away and asked if I could have them done by Sunday, as they were starting shooting that Tuesday.  This was on a Friday.  I said SURE! and worked all weekend.

I was thrilled to hear that they used 3 of my planters on the set.  One behind Scott:

One behind new bandleader Kid Cudi:

The new season premiere was last Thursday and I got to see the planters on TV, which was great fun.  Kid Cudi is a great addition to the show and I can't wait for the rest of the season!  If you would like to see a tour of the set and watch Michael Cera walk past the Wyatt Succulent Planter, watch this!
